The M134 minigun is a weapon that is seen in the last 3 Syphon Filter games.
Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain[]
The weapon is carried by Iwao Ryusaki, Sanzo Murukawa's security commander, but the player can never use it in the mission (it is, however, usable through the magic box glitch).
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror[]
'This is a rather inaccurate and difficult to handle weapon that makes up for its inaccuracy with a high rate of fire. Although very capable of dealing massive damage in a short period of time, its sheer size and weight hinder mobility.'
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror weapon description
This weapon is used by Han Yen, Jimmy Zhou's right hand man, and Gabe Logan can opt to carry it.
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow[]
It is again unusable, but the M134 can be seen being carried by Lian Xing in a bonus video where she assaults the Murukawa Tower.
Trivia[]
- The mini gun is so far the only weapon that can be fired even when the player has snapped to a surface, most probably due to its significant weight.
- Furthermore, when armed with the weapon and snapped to a wall, Gabe will look directly into the console screen and the weapon's barrels can be seen from a front view, a trait that no other weapon possesses.
- It will substantially slow down Gabe Logan when equipped in Dark Mirror unlike other back weapons.
